We know how costly it is to up your game. SPIR – a program of the State University of New York (SUNY) – supports development of new technologies in the state with engineering resources from the Buffalo, Binghamton, Albany and Stony Brook campuses, offered at a discount. As regional administrator for Buffalo, we provide industry partners with grant funds for UB engineering faculty and student assistance. The grant is only available to New York State companies.

SPIR projects include, but are not limited to:*

  • Research & development projects
  • Finite element analysis, material design & selection
  • Layout & workflow analysis
  • Employing engineering graduate and PhD students

* Capital expenses are not covered
